Eight Bells (8BELLS) is an independent Research and Consulting company specializing in selected parts of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as well as in modelling and analysis for businesses, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. The company was established in 2016 by ICT researchers and market analysts pursuing the application of their research expertise and innovations in the ICT related arena.

Dr Ioannis Giannoulakis

Dr Ioannis Giannoulakis received his PhD from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece in the area of applied mathematics. By leveraging on the collaboration with telecom operators, regulators, manufacturers and academics he has built a strong background in the ICT domain and he has been extensively involved in national and European research activities. In 2016 he founded 8BELLS Ltd, a dynamic research and consulting company with strong involvement and expertise in the areas of 5G mobile communications and cybersecurity. Dr Giannoulakis is author/co-author of several books, scientific papers and reports for technical, business and societal aspects of the modern telecommunication systems. Ηis research interests include queueing theory, performance analysis, stochastic modelling, and optimization of modern communications networks. Currently, he serves as Principal Analyst in 8BELLS.

Dr Emmanouil KAFETZAKIS

Dr Emmanouil Kafetzakis is Co-founder of 8BELLS Ltd. Since 2002 he holds the BSc degree in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Athens, Greece, he also received his MSc and PhD degrees from the same university, in 2004 and 2011. Emmanouil has more than 15 years of experience working with operators, enterprises, and academics across Europe. His primary areas of specialisation include performance modeling, forecasting techniques, resource allocation protocols and management for communication networks, simulation of data networks, with recent emphasis on Future Internet and SDN/NFV Architectures. He has more than 30 publications and more than 100 citations. He holds Ericsson Award of Excellence in Telecommunications and he is a biographee in several lists (e.g., Marquis Who’s Who, etc.)
