ABOUT THIS PROJECT
AVALON composed a number of efficient services that acted as a graph of interconnected Virtual Network Functions (VNFs). The traffic identification gave rise to advanced traffic forwarding/steering rules and L7-aware specific VNF chains. Thus, the implementation of the project AVALON demonstrated the benefits of dynamic programmable function chaining by delivering an L7-aware Open Virtual Switch and assessing its performance.
